INGREDIENTS:
1 Ground Beef, 75/25 is best
McCormick's Broiled Steak Seasoning Salt, to taste
Hamburger Buns (24 carbs), for lower carb use 2 large leaves of lettuce
 Butter
 Kraft Deli Deluxe American Cheese

1

In a large bowl place Ground beef and sprinkle with seasoning until Ground beef has a slight smell similar to the seasoning. About 2 TBSP for 1 lb of ground beef to start with . (It's always good to pinch a small piece off and cook it up to test the taste.) Pat out 1/2 inch thick patties that are just a bit bigger than your buns... the hamburger buns, not YOUR buns!

2

Heat MeMaws skillet on medium high. (if you don't have MeMaw's skillet then a good cast iron skillet will do in a pinch) Place patties in skillet. Cook first side until juices run from top of patty. Flip over and cook till done. As the second side is cooking take the hamburger buns, slightly buttered, and place them in the skillets to toast. If you have a lot of grease from the patty absorb it with a paper towel but leave some. The bun will crisp its edges in that grease and pick up some of the little bits from the cooking meat. Just before done place the cheese slices on the patty and top with the toasted bun. Add the heal (and a second slice of cheese if you want) and you have the perfect MeMaw Burger! You can add Mayo, Mustard, Ketchup, pickle, onions, etc. But why alter perfection! Just enjoy!

For a low carb version, omit the buns and use lettuce leaves instead or a low carb wrap

If replacing the bun with just lettuce the Carb count drops to ZERO!
